LHIS Kicked off their annual Red Ribbon Week festivities with an inspirational rally. Students from the LHJH and LHHS performed and speakers talked about the importance of being “Drug Free.” One of the kids' favorite drug free themes was “Dress like a Rock Star.”
Students in Savannah Brown’s classes, at LHIS, chose to commemorate the third anniversary of Adam Brown’s passing by participating in one of his favorite past times: a donut relay! Each class lined up and had to eat a glazed donut, as fast as they could, without using their hands. To prove that they had finished their donut, each student had to open their mouth and stick their tongue out. Nathan lined up and joined the relay while Kelly helped serve the donuts. Kelly and Nathan also joined Savannah in releasing green and white balloons to honor Adam, and all those that serve in the armed forces. It was a beautiful day and a great way to celebrate Adam’s life. The students had a blast!

School closing announcements due to inclement weather will be made through local media, on the district website and by telephone. If you have changed your primary contact number since initial registration or if you have not received any calls from the district this year, you should update your telephone number in order to receive automated notifications. Please contact your child's school office to update your contact information.
