2012-13 Junior High School Orientation & Open House Information

All incoming 8th graders and any 9th graders who are new to Lake Hamilton must attend orientation. Orientation will be August 13th at 9:00 a.m. or August 16th at 6:00 p.m. You only need to attend one session.

Common Questions about Orientation:

  • Will I get my schedule?
    YES, you will be able to pick-up your schedule and walk around the building to locate your classes.
  • Can I change my schedule?
    Schedule change forms will be available in the cafeteria. We try to accommodate all schedule requests but it is not always possible. Our counselors try to make every schedule change that is possible in a timely manner; however, it may take a couple of days for your schedule to be changed. You must follow your old schedule until you receive a new one.
  • Can I get my locker?
    YES
  • Will we get a supply list?
    NO, students should simply bring a notebook and something to write with on the first day. Teachers will tell them what they need for their class on the first day of school. Nothing out of the ordinary will be required.
  • Do I have to have a parent with me at orientation?
    YES, several things need to be signed by a parent or guardian.

9th Grade students who were at Lake Hamilton last year may pick up schedules August 15th and 16th from 9:00 – 3:00.

Open house for 8th and 9th graders will be August 16th at 7:00 PM
