Update 12-21-11: Congratulations to the following football players for making all conference in the AAAAAA South conference: Trey Martin, Andy Nguyen, Kyle Langston,Paul Roeck, Dre Bennett, Dante Ransom,Dalton Daniels, Austin Essner, Cody Smith, Carter Greathouse, Tyler Lindsey, Corey Green, Chris Eastburn, Levi Runyan, Gavin De Los Santos.
The following were honarable mention: Cody Beck, Trent Curry, Ethan Rudolph, John Thomas Dutton, Jerry Chancelor, and Tim Fraley Levi Runyan was named the outstanding back in the conference. Chris Eastburn was named as the sophomore defensive player of the year.
Update 11-16-11: Wolves defeat Russellville in the first round of the AAAAAA playoffs
After winning the tough AAAAAA South conference championship, the Wolves defeated Russellville in the first round of the playoffs. The top ranked Wolves moved to 10-1, and will play Sheridan in the second round on Friday, 11/18/2011. The Wolves rolled to a 38-0 third quarter lead before winning 38- 14. The offensive line domoniated the game. Paul Roeck, John Thomas Dutton, Kyle Langston, Andy Nguyen and Trey Martin all played great. Trey, who had several domination blocks, was named the outstanding lineman. Austin Essner was the leading rusher despite having an 80 yard run called back.Trent Curry, Ethan Rudolph and Chris Eastburn did a great job of blocking out of the backfield. Dalton Damiels, Dante Ransom, and Dre Bennett all caught passes from Levi Runyan. Dre was named outstanding back for his blocking and running. Dante had catches for big 3rd down and 4th down conversions. John Lipton also had several outstanding runs. The starting defense got its third straight shut-out. The defensive line: Cody Beck,Trey Martin, Andy Nguyen,Paul Roeck, Jerry Chancelor, Will Beard, and Gavin De Los Santos, and linebackers: Tyler Lindsey,Cory Green and Chris Eastburn, held Russellville to less than 50 yards rushing. Carter Greathouse, Cody Smith, Dante Ransom , Timmy Fraley and Dre Bennett held Russellville's outstanding passing attack in check. Dre Bennet had an interception. Dalton Daniels had an outstanding kick-off return to set up a short touchdown drive to start the second half.
Update 11-2-11: After defeating Eldorado and Texarkana the Wolves have clinched a tie for the conference championship. The Wolve will play McClellan on Thursday November 3rd for an outright conference championship.

Update 9-29-11: The Wolves opened conference play with a 41-0 victory over Sheridan. The Wolves are 3-1 over all. Dalton Daniels caught two touchdown passes from Levi Runyan. Cody Smith returned an interception for a touchdown for the second consecutive week. The offensive line of Trey Martin, Andy Nguyen, Kyle Langston,Jerry Chancellor, Thomas Sutton and Paul Roeck were dominate along with tight end Cameron Anderson and fullbacks Trent Curry and Ethan Rudolph as the Wollves rolled up 414 yards of offense.The Lake Hamilton defense completely dominated the game, holidng Sheridan to only 5 first downs and 105 yards of offense. Tyler Lindsey was the leading tackler with 13 tackles and Gavin De Los Santos had 11 tackles from the defensive line. Chris Eastburn graded highest of any defensive player. Cody Smith and Carter Greathouse both had interceptions. Dre Bennett had another big game receiving and blocking. John Lipton had the tackle of the game on a kick off inside the 10 yard line. The Kick-off team has allowed an average of 9 yards per return for the year.

Fountain Lake Tournament of Champions. We were undefeated playing 30-14 Benton, 39-7 Nashville, 25-9 Clinton, 28-14 Pulaski Academy JV, 23-0 Dewitt, 16-0 Russellville, Championship Game LH 39 Nashville 21.
Music City Classic at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. We won this tournament this past weekend defeating Wren HS from Piedmont, SC. Dre Bennett was named MVP of the tournament. Levi Runyan was named to the all-tournament team.
We were 6-3 in pool play and 5-0 in the tournament for an overall record of 11-3. Here is a list of scores from pool play.

Day 2 Pool Play – We were 1-2 in Pool play on day 2, before we started the tournament. (Wren HS Piedmont, SC -35 LH- 29), (Springdale Har-Ber, AR – 36 LH – 7), (LH- 29 Stratford, TN -0 )
Tournament Play - We were seeded #6 out of 36 teams in the tournament. We went 5-0 and won the tournament. 1st Round - LH- 31 Whitehaven Memphis, TN – 13; 2nd Round- LH – 29 Hillsboro, TN 22; 3rd Round – LH – 32 Memphis University School 11; 4th Round – LH – 35 Rochester, IL 10; Championship Game LH – 32 Wren, SC 22
Summer Activities - The 2011 Wolves have had a busy and eventful summer. The Wolves particiapated in three 7on7 competitions in the month of June. Lake Hamilton finished 2nd out of 24 teams in the Sonic Air Raid, finished 1st out of twety-five teams in the OBU 7on7, and made it to the semifinals in the Shootout of the South. In the Shootout the Wolves won 8 straight games before loosing in the last seconds to Allen Texas.
During the month of June the Wolves over-all record in 7on7 has been 24 and 4 against some of the best competition in the nation. Lake Hamilton also competed well in the OBU team camp, scrimmaging against several top teams. Linemen,Trey Martin, John Thomas Dutton, Kyle Langston, Jerry Chancelor,Paul Roeck, and Will Beard made big impressions along with tight end Cameron Anderson . Linebackers Tyler Lindsey, Corey Green, Chris Eastburn, Joey Wilkerson and Dylan Cobb made big plays.
Lineman Trey Martin has excelled in several lineman camps and has received a college scholarship offer as a result. At the University of Arkansas camp,Trey received the Gator Aid Standout Award. Levi Runyan has also received scholarship offers as a result of his performances in summer camps. There will be more offers and awards for palyers to come. Dalton Daniels was named the outstanding receiver at the Sonic Air Raid, Dante Ransom, at the OBU 7on7 and Dre Bennet at the Shoot out of the South. Carter Greathouse, and Cody Smith were cited for their play on defense.

UPDATE: The Wolves are in the final four of the state playoffs! The Wolves beat Parkview 35-26 in the second round of the playoffs to advance to the semifinals. It will be Lake Hamilton vs Pine Bluff at 7:30 on November 27. The Wolves had an outstanding rushing attack against Parkview. Tyler Walker rushed for well over 100 yards behind great blocking from Kolby Hamilton, Zach Ruth, Andy Nguyen, Aaron Cummins, Austin White, and Kenny Rains. Benson Jordan passed for over 100 yards with receptions to Addison Wynn, Levi Runyan, Dalton Daniels and Tyler Walker. Dre Bennet had a big run for a touchdown.
PLAY OFF UPDATE: The Wolves have finished the regular season as the number 2 seed from the tough 6A South conference. As a result the Wolves get a first round bye and will play the winner from the first round game between Little Rock Parkview and Sheridan. That game wil be at home on November 20 at 7:30 p.m.
UPDATE: The Wolves had a disappointing loss to Eldorado, which moved them to 4-1 in the AAAAAA South. Things did not go well in general for the Wolves and Eldorado played an exceptional game. There were some bright spots: Tyler Walker had an outstanding game at safety, making several tackles and some for losses. Levi Runyan had some big catches at receiver. The team is back in action this week playing Texarkana. A win would assure a 1st round bye in the state playoffs. If the Wolves win either of their next two games they will be assured of at least 2nd place in the conference and a first round bye. The Wolves play this week at home. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
UPDATE: The Wolves came back again for a big conference win against Watson Chapel. The Wolves were down 35-20 late in the third quarter and came back to win 38 to 35. Benson Jordan passed for 305 yards completing 17 of 26 passes. Landon Jackson caught 6 passes for 148 yards including a big touchdown catch. Levi Runyan caught 5 passes for 88 yards. Addison Wynn and Dalton Daniels each caught 3 passes. The Wolf defense played great allowing Watson Chapel only 8 first downs. Kenny Rains and Tyler Lindsey were the leading tacklers. Tyler Walker and Levi Runyan, and Demetrie Martin also had big stops on defense. The offensive line: Kolby Hamilton, Zach Ruth, Bubba Hall, Aaron Cummins and Austin White did a good job of pass blocking and run blocking on key plays. Kenny Rains did an outstanding job blocking, scoring 96%. Bret Miller kicked 3 field goals and all extra points. He also made a game saving tackle along with Austin Essner on Watson Chapel's last kickoff return. The Wolves had 416 yards of offense compared to 268 for Watson Chapel. The Wolves play Eldorado next. Both teams are undefeated in conference play. It will be the game of the week in 6A for the third straight week.
UPDATE: What a game! The Wolves defeated Pine Bluff 27- 23 last week to move to 3-0 in the AAAAAA South. The Wolves staged an impressive, last minute goal line stand to preserve the victory. On fourth and goal from the one yard line Kenny Rains, Kolby Hamilton, Aaron Cummins, Austin White and Zach Ruth pushed the Pine Bluff offensive line back and Levi Runyan met the diving Pine Bluff runner in mid air to stop him for no gain. That capped a great defensive night for the Wolves. Landon Jackson, Tyler Walker, Jason Cudvat, and Levi Runyan did an outstanding job of pass defense against an explosive Pine Bluff passing attack. Tyler Lyndsey was the leading tackler. Zach Horowitz, Austin White, Kenny Rains, and Adam Howell constantly pressured the Pine Bluff quarterback. Benson Jordan had an outstanding game, completing 15 of 24 passes for 211 yards. Levi Runyan had 5 catches for 79 yards, Addison Wynn had 4 catches for 57 yards, Dalton Daniels had 3 catches for 16 yards. Dre Bennet Ran for a touchdown and caught a big first down pass for 18 yards.Landon Jackson also had an 18 yard catch on 3rd and 18 to keep a scoring drive alive. Zach Ruth was dominating from his left guard position. Kolby Hamilton had some huge blocks on effective screen passes. The Wolf kickoff team was outstanding, not allowing any returns by Pine Bluff's outstanding kick returner. The Wolves play Watson Chapel at home this week in another key conference game. UPDATE: The Wolves moved to 2-0 in conference play Friday by defeating Benton 51-12. The Wolf defense had a great night, holding Benton to less than one yard per carry. Tyler Lindsey was the leading tackler. Kenny Rains had several tackles for losses as did Zach Horowitz. Kenny also had a sack in the end zone for a safety. Addison Wynn retuned a kickoff to the six yard line. Benson Jordan had a super night. He was 11 out of 13 passing including a touchdown pass to Levi Runyan. Dalton Daniels had several catches. Landon Jackson made an outstanding catch down to the one yard line. Kenny, Benson, Addison, and Trent Curry all ran for touchdowns. Tyler Walker, and Jason Cudvat had interceptions. The Wolves play Pine Bluff next on Thursday night in the Arkansas game of the week.

Addison Wynn rushed 10 times for 76 yards and Benson Jordan had an outstanding night passing. Dalton Daniels caught 4 passes, including one for a touchdown. Tyler Walker, Levi Runyan, Jason Cudvat,Cab Sanders and Landon Jackson had outstanding games in the secondary. The Wolf defense played great, holding Sheridan scoreless in the second half. Brett Miller had an outstanding night kicking off deep and giving the Wolves good field position. Demetrie Martin snapped and Brett Miller kicked successfully on 4 PAT's.
UPDATE: The Wolves have finished non conference play 2-0 after beating Pulaski Academy 32-30 in a thrilling come from behind win in the Arkansas high school game of the week. The Wolves drove 80 yards in the fourth quarter and scored the winning touchdown with a minute to go in the game. The victory was sealed when Addison Wynn intercepted a pass and the Wolves ran out the clock. Levi Runyan also had an interception for the Wolves .Brett Miller kicked a field goal and all PAT's which determined the final margin of victory. Demetre Martin had a perfect night deep snapping. Tyler Lindsey was commended for his play against PA's onsides kicks. Jason Cudvat made a game saving tackle when he caught PA's receiver from behind on the 3 yard line. Kolby Hamilton was the offensive lineman of the week with 5 domination blocks and an outstanding blocking percentage on 96%. Zach Ruth also scored 96%. Austin White and Trent Curry also had domination blocks. Benson Jordan threw a touchdown pass to Dalton Daniels and one to Dre Bennent for the winning touchdown. Benson also threw to Dre for a 2 point conversion. Landon Jackson and Trent Curry also had catches. Adam Howell had another good game with a sack and a tackle for a loss. Kenny Rains also had good blocking from tight end and fullback. The Wolves play Sheridan this week to open their defense of the AAAAAA South championship.
UPDATE: The Wolve are 1-1 after beating Little Rock Central 24-6. Adam Howell was the leading tackler on the Wolf defense which held Central to less than 100 yards of offense. Tyler Lindsy forced a fumble and Andy Ngyuen recovered two fumbles. Tyler Walker was commended for his agressive play at safety. Kenny Rains again had several domination blocks from his fullback position. Benson Jordan passed to Landon Jackson for two touchdowns and Addison Wynn was the leading rusher behind dominating blocks from Kolby Hamilton Zach Ruth, Bubba Hall, Aaron Cummins, Peyton Connely and Austin White. Brett Miller had two kick offs into the endzone. Lake Hamilton plays Pulaski Academy in this week's central Arkansas game of the week.

Defense reigned supreme in the 14th annual Fountain Lake 7-on-7 finals Saturday afternoon.
Lake Hamilton rolled against Hot Springs Lakeside 44-12 in the “large school” title game.

The Wolves are 2-0 in AAAAAA South play after beating Benton 56- 21. David Church rushed for 114 yards in the first half as the Wolves dominated the line of scrimmage. The offensive line of Levi Jamison, Alec Gordon, Jared Chesshire, Taylor Root, and Zach Ruth was dominating as the Wolves rolled up 17 first downs in the first half. Michael Watkin, Nic Utley, and David Church were also cited for their great blocking. Phillip Butterfield completed 60% of his passes, including a touchdown to Josh Proffit. Reid Byrd and Cab Sanders had interceptions. DJ Bell was the special teams player of the week making 6 tackles on the kick off team. DJ also blocked a punt. Tyler Walker was the leading tackler for the game, playing mostly in the second half.
UPDATE: The Wolves are now in second place at 4-1 in AAAAAA South play after defeating Eldorado 38 to 21 last Friday in the “game of the week” in Arkansas. Phillip Butterfield completed 73.7 % of his passes for 223 yards. The Wolf defense continues to improve, holding an explosive Eldorado offense in check. Josh Proffit was the leading receiver, and had a crucial interception on defense. For the season, Proffit has 650 yards receiving and Tauno Vannucci has 700 yards. The Offensive line of Alec Gordon, Levi Jamison, Jared Chesshir, Taylor Root, and Zach Ruth continue to dominate. David Church has rushed for 684 yards. Michael Watkins and Nic Utley have done a good job blocking.
UPDATE: The Wolves are AAAAAA South Conference champions for the second straight year. The Wolves ended the regular season with two shutout wins, beating rival Texarkana 28-0 and Little Rock Fair 49-0. The offensive line has been dominate. They are: Levi Jamison, Alec Gordon, Jared Chesshir, Taylor Root, and Zach Ruth. The Wolves will play Jacksonville in the 2nd round of the state playoffs on November 21st at Wolf Stadium. Kick off is at 7:30 P.M.
UPDATE: The Wolves are back in the state championship game for the fifth time and second consecutive year. The Wolves ended the season as AAAAAA South Tri Champions. The Wolves defeated Jacksonville 41-0 in the second round of the playoffs, then defeated previously unbeaten and number one ranked West Memphis 34-28 in the semifinals at West Memphis. David Church has rushed for over 200 yards in the two playoff games. Phillip Butterfield completed 19 of 29 passes for 363 yards and 4 touchdowns against West Memphis. Josh Proffit caught 8 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Tauno Vannucci caught 6 passes for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns. Proffit was also the leading tackler with 14 tackles. Benson Jordan had an interception against West Memphis. Reid Byrd caused a fumble against West Memphis to go along with his interception against Jacksonville. Kenny Rains tackled the West Memphis quarterback for a loss and forced an intentional grounding. Offensive linemen Alec Gordon, Levi Jamison, Jared Chessir, Taylor Root, and Zach Ruth have continued to be dominate in the playoffs. Senior linebackers Alex Johnson, Chris Fikes and Nic Utley have played exceptionally. The Wolves will play Eldorado in the State Championship game at 7:00 PM at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
UPDATE: The Wolves are state champions! The Lake Hamilton Wolves defeated the Eldorado Wildcats 42 to 28 in the AAAAAA state championship game. Phillip Butterfield ran for two touchdowns and passed to Josh Proffit for two more. David Church ran 5 times for 38 yards before leaving the game in the second quarter with an injury. DJ Bell ran 13 times for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns. The offensive line of Levi Jamison, Alec Gordon, Jared Chesshir, Taylor Root, and Zach Ruth Were again dominate. Kenny Rains, Nic Utley and Michael Watkins lead the way blocking for 278 yards of rushing in the game. Alex Johnson had 15 tackles. Reid Byrd had 12 tackles and an interception. Kenny Rains had 8 tackles. Josh Proffit had 4 pass break ups and 6 tackles. Proffit caught 4 passes. Tauno Vannucci, Addison Wynn and Rob Curry all had catches. Levi Jamison had a sac and was named as the outstanding lineman it the game. Phillip Butterfield was named as the most valuable player of the game.

Wolves win 2009 OBU 7on7
UPDATE: The Wolves have attended three team camps during the last 3 weeks, and had very good showings at each camp. Kenny Rains and Benson Jordan both received scholarship offers as a result of their showings. Landon Jackson also created a lot of recruiting interest. Zach Ruth and Kolby Hamilton also received interest. Coach Howard Leatherwood said the offensive line as a whole was dominate at times. Tyler Walker had a big showing running behind that offensive line. The next event is the Shootout of the South 7on7 at the Mighty Bluebird stadium in Little Rock on June 19 and June 20 where the Wolves will be the defending champions. The first game in pool play is scheduled for 11:00am on Friday, June 19.

The Wolves 7on7 team won the consolation bracket of the Shootout of the South tournament.
